The program offered at Treetop includes art, music, games, story-telling, and outdoor play and is a combination of group activities, daily routines, self-chosen play and quiet times. Children are valued at the center and encouraged to be environmentally friendly. We surround the children with warm, positive, responsive, qualified teachers who meet the individual needs of the children. We offer a culturally diverse environment. Our goal is to respond to the needs of each child enrolled at Treetop and the program assumes a wide variety of developmental rates-toys and activities are chosen to correspond to a child’s individual level. We believe that learning is a rewarding and enjoyable experience when emphasis is placed on independence, responsibility, exploration and discovery through play. The activities offered at Treetop promote the development of the child in the following areas: social, emotional, language and reasoning, cognitive, fine and gross motor. We believe the childcare is an extension of the family environment so parent involvement is important and encouraged.

Treetop Children's Centre offers enrichment programs on a weekly bases. The centre has a music, drama and sports specialist. All programs are hands on so the children have the opportunity to develop new skills. All programs and curriculium follow the Day Nursery Act.



Treetop operates from September to June except for statutory holidays and Board days when it is closed. Treetop also runs a summer program in July and August for the preschool and kindergarten children. The nursery school program is offered from September to June except for school holidays. The full daycare, junior and senior kindergarten complementary and schoolage daycare programs offer full daycare on all school (not statutory and Board days) holidays. There is no reduction in fees if families take vacations during the school year and parents who withdraw their child for any period of time during the year cannot be guaranteed a place on return. Families who withdraw their child must reapply.
